We started our reading program D.E.A.R. working on sense of belonging. Students and teachers chose their favorite spot to read, valuing being able to be presently there and belonging to this community. A high level of motivation was experienced by being able to recognize that we all have a special place in our community, making reading time a pleasant and fun moment.
