Three weeks have gone by since the start of the PBL "Marymount Preschool Olympics 2021", an event full of sports spirit, where the students valued their own effort and that of others. During this week, the kids had important connections: A virtual one with the students from Colegio Sister Johanna to share recreational and sporting activities.
They also listened to the sports advice from two MACC trainers, Mr. Eduard and Mr. Gil who are experts in the subject and Karate and Skating trainers, respectively.
On Friday, September 10th, the closing event took place with several demos of different sports disciplines and recreational activities which honor the event's motto, "Push yourself, it´ll be worth it."
With this learning project, the kids strengthened their SHERR values, connecting with expert athletes and integrating new skills in the different subject classes inside and outside the classrooms.
The kids learned through game motivation and could put in practice different sensorial/motor skills, self-regulation, reading, Math, values for a healthy competition, musical ensemble and rhythmic reading, technology, artistic skills and fine motor skills, among others.
